Hi folks!!!

I am very excited to create a post about my recent out of the country trip–which was in fact my first ever out of the country trip. The destination? TURKEY!!! Turkiye is among (if not the only) the few countries  which fall under the Eurasia (Europe and Asia) category. Meaning I’ve been to two continents in one trip! Just like Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) in A Walk To Remember. Nyahaha. Lucky me!

However, in as much as my fingers are already itching to type and create the post, my mind then reminds me that I should set my priorities straight. I really have to pay full attention to my job first and foremost. Wag makulit, dear self!!!

So in the meantime, I’m posting this teaser collage. If we are contacts on facebook, you might have already seen the album I uploaded right away though I became sorta bed-ridden (haha) when I got back. Jetlaaag! I am really excited to share stories about this once in a lifetime experience care of COMPANY X.

But at least for now, Türkiye’ye hoş geldiniz!  (Welcome to Turkey)

Good Vibes: Christmas Bears <3

I bought these bears for only Php 200 each from SM North EDSA Department Store last December 2011. If you have kids who love stuff toys, or girlfriends who collects, sobrang sulit ‘to!  You may just change the clothes so it’s not gonna look like some Christmas promo item. I was supposed to buy just one bear, but I didn’t want him to be sad and lonely so I bought his pair.

I still don’t know what to name them though. Any suggestions?

One Saturday in UP Diliman

Being the kind sister that I’ve always been (HAHAHA), I drive my brothers to school and fetch them whenever I am free. Ace had an exam this afternoon at 3PM-6PM. He asked me to drive him to school and pick him up after. As a result of the 3-hour waiting time while my brother was taking his ES1 exam, I was able to watch some episodes of Grey’s Anatomy (I stopped watching when I became too busy at work). I eventually got bored, decided to drive around and explore the campus (read: cos I graduated from UP Manila and still not very familiar with the UPD campus)

1.)  I discovered new food stalls at the so-called Area 2 in UP Diliman.

YAY for cheap thrills!!! Very affordable! So if you want variety and medyo umiiwas muna sa famous Mang Larry’s isaw, try these! There are lots of other choices as well in the area. No wonder why the students living at dormitories really survive here.

2.) I finally saw this in person. Below is my ugly fugly shot of the Oblation Plaza Thanks to the poor quality of the camera that I was using. I drove around the UP academic oval thrice at around 5:45PM in the hopes of seeing the “Pag-iilaw” thing (saw the photos on facebook). Pero wala pa rin! I thought I wouldn’t be able to see it anymore, but I learned that they light the Christmas lights and the lanterns at exactly 6PM. So if you wanna see this and you’re an impatient person, just visit the campus at 6PM onwards.

There was a couple who were having their pre-nuptial pictorial last evening. Siguro parehong UP alumni at kay Oble sila nag-pray na makahanap ng true love? Best wishes, guys!

Tip Toe!

Wish I could wear high heels more often. I get to use them only during special meetings with the accounts I’m handling or when I stay at the office. But during fieldwork, it isn’t advisable to wear them. I might not have the strength to drive anymore if I use all my energy walking in these shoes. It’s also such a hassle to change from driving shoes to high heels every so often. And lastly, I often get this remark “ang tangkad tangkad mo na nga eh, magsusuot ka pa nyan?” Haha! So there, I also feel shy and get conscious

All these very affordable and quality pairs (price range: Php899-Php1,499) are from Parisian (available at SM Department Stores). Although wedges are way more comfy to wear, it still feels great wearing shoes with pointed heels. Hoho Most men (and even girls actually) probably won’t understand why there are women who are willing to stand the pain. IT’S A GIRL THING! It makes women feel sexy for some personal reason (haha) plus it gives an illusion of longer, slender legs.

But hey, nowadays, there are shoes for men which increases their height a few inches taller!

 

The one that is meant for us is going to be the hardest to get, the hardest to keep, and the hardest to accept because through all that the love will grow stronger. Someday We’ll Know by Mandy Moore - This song from the A Walk To Remember OST was released a long time ago. I’ve already lost track on how many times I’ve listened to it. I actually repeatedly sing this on videoke when I can’t think of any other decent song to sing.

But it was only last night, just last night, when I totally understood and appreciated it’s truest and deepest meaning. Just in time for my second year of being in love with a wonderful man.

Throughout the waiting process, the feeling just keeps getting stronger. And someday, we’ll know that we’re really each other’s THE ONE. Amazing, really an amazing feeling  Someday.<3
